China's galvanized strip steel plants face difficult to resume its production in the beginning of March

The delays in resuming production of Chinese galvanized strip plants have affected the short-term demand for hot-rolled strip therefore it has continued to increase the pressure on the inventory of hot-rolled strip manufacturers.

In the next two weeks, the resuming production rate of galvanized strip plants was still low, and some hot-rolled strip rolling lines might face maintenance and reduce production.

In the short term, there were mainly two factors that affect the resumption.

First, whether the company’s reinstatement application would be approved, and whether the manpower could resume work.

As some strip companies were mainly hiring employees from other areas, who needed to be observed for 14 days when they returned to work. Therefore, the opportunity to resume work in February was low.
