Russian Severstal’s crude steel production falls in Q2

According to the announcement of the sales performance for this second quarter from Severstal, a company mainly working in the steel and mining industry in Russia, the crude steel dropped by 1% to 2.83 million tons compared with this first quarter.

In the second quarter of this year, the sales of Severstal’s steel products increased by around 9% to 2.75 million tons. The sales of iron ore rose by 54% year on year to 1.24 million tons, reflecting the seasonal change and the growth of planned production. The sales of iron ore pellet increased by around 12% to 2.88 million tons compared with the same period of last quarter.
