International Iron and Steel Association released data show that global crude steel production in September hit the lowest since February, due to major producing countries to increase environmental protection efforts, reduction of output the domestic steel mills.
The global 66 countries who are join in International Iron and Steel Association, September’s crude steel production reached 141.4 million tonnes, up 5.6% from last year, but down 2.3% from the previous month and the lowest monthly output since February.
China’s crude steel production in September was 71.8 million tons, up 5.3% year on year, but chain fell down 3.7% . China’s official data show that since the beginning of last year, legal steel production has been reduced by 110 million tons and illegal production has been banned by 120 million tons.
