Due to the international steel market has improved and China’s steel prices soared,
Taiwan’s galvanized steel prices also increased. However, the demand remained weak, resulting the prices would not continue to push up for the fourth quarter of this year.
Market participants pointed out that the galvanized market performance was not strong, mainly due to weak demand for pre-painted galvanized steel and building materials.
Meanwhile, the data showed that from January to July this year, Taiwan’s pre-painted galvanized steel product exports were 22,7176 tons, down by 16.8% compared with the same period of last year.
