According to the statistics from the United States Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported approximately 103,000 tons of hot-dip galvanized (HDG) sheet and strip in January, increasing by 13.2% from the previous month while dropping by 10.6% from the same period a year ago. The export value was around US$110 million, compared to US$98 million a month ago and US$130 million last January.
Among them, Canada was the main destination with about 56,000 tons, compared to 44,000 tons in December 2019 and 67,000 tons in January 2019. The second major destination was Mexico with roughly 46,000 tons.
